It is has to be said that rule of law in Ukraine is not as entrenched as it should be, or as much as we, and our fellow citizens, would like.

As a law firm we are keenly aware of this, and our Partners and Attorneys are pledged to support and improve the Rule of Law whenever they can, however they can; it is an essential part of the firm’s corporate culture.

We have often assisted in day-to-day activities and provide legal support to non-governmental organizations whose interests and initiatives we share. In particular we devote time and energy to the Ukrainian NGO "Civil Position" whose activities are aimed at the establishment of a law-governed state that supports the Rule of Law, as well as the improvement of social and economic and life in Ukraine.

Additionally we also provide financial support for socially important charity initiatives such as the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Kharkiv (Ukraine).

We never forget that as lawyers we are in a privileged position to help others to set things right so the firm regularly provides pro bono legal advice and supports people and organisations in need.

Through pro bono work, ENGARDE provides legal services and legal advice to socially vulnerable groups of society. ENGARDE provides financial support to charity events. One of these initiatives is a fund-raising charity auction organized by the British Business Council in Ukraine to raise money for medical equipment for the Kharkiv Children’s Cancer Hospital.
