Iryna Shevchuk, ENGARDE’s Senior Associate, has delivered an expert report at the train-the-trainers seminar for the future experts of the Council’s of Europe HELP programme. Iryna was invited to the event within the framework of the joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe titled “Strengthening the Implementation of European Human Rights Standards in Ukraine.”
The major goal of the training is formation of a group of certified trainers of HELP programme. The trainers are expected to develop effective distance learning courses for the lawyers working in the sphere of human rights.
During the mentioned event, which is currently taking place in Odessa, Iryna has made a presentation for other participants – judges, prosecutors, and attorneys at law from Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine. Iryna’s expert report covered the practice of the European Court of Human Rights as to proper substantiation of judicial decisions and the pro rata principle.
